Pre-order tickets for Infinite’s concert in Japan are sold out
The “general trend-dol” Infinite is receiving explosive attention from Japanese mass media as tickets for its concert in Japan are sold out.
Infinite is to have a concert on February 25 and 26 at Tokyo International Forum Hall A in Japan. The group surprised the organizers for its pre-order tickets which were open to only fan club members on January 10 were sold out in just ten minutes. The sales confirmed Infinite’s popularity not only in Korea, but also throughout Asia.
As mentioned above, the ticket sales were only for fan club members, but the competitive rate was so high that the company which sold tickets is suffering from countless phone calls from Infinite’s fans asking for an additional concert. The group’s high reputation in Japan is proved.
Moreover, some tickets that were sold to fan clubs are put on auction websites at a high price, under the title of “premium tickets.” As fans are already experiencing a crisis for getting a ticket, it seems that the competition will become even more fierce when ticket sales open once again.
Furthermore, every broadcasting industry in Japan is asking for the broadcasting of the concert, referring that not only fans, but also Japan’s mass media is showing interest in Infinite.
The Tokyo International Forum Hall A allows up to 5,000 people and the group is planning on meeting up to 10,000 fans in two days. Previously, Japan has shown its concern over this large-scaled concert because Infinite is a mere rookie. However, the pre-order ticket rate has blown those worries away and received comments such as: “There’s reason why they’re called the ‘general trend-dol.’” “Their popularity in Japan is soaring to the sky.” “The scheduled ticket sales will be sold out as well.”
Last year in November, Infinite released its debut single “BTD (Before The Dawn)” in Japan and has gained popularity since then. The group will hold its solo concert, Second Invasion Japan Tokyo, on February 25 and 26, targeting to become the leading Hallyu idol of next generation.
